Sleepover Beauty Essentials

Hi everyone,

As I have recently been over to my friend's house for a sleepover, I thought it would be nice to show you what beauty things I packed (I didn't use most of them, but still).

For my skin, I took my The Body Shop* Flawless BB Cream in 01, my Rimmel* Stay Matte Powder in Transparent and my Nude by Nature* concealer in Medium. I applied these using the Perfecting Sponge that I got for Christmas and my Nude by Nature* kabuki brush for my powder as the powder brush I have is kind of broken. I also took my Clinique* Moisture Surge moisturiser so that my skin didn't go dry.

For my eyes, I took my Covergirl* Nature Luxe mascara in Very Black and my Nude by Nature* palette and my Nude by Nature* eye shadow brush. I used the lightest shade on my eyelids and nothing else as I am not all that great at blending.

For my lips I took my  Maybelline Baby Lips Colour in Berry Crush and my Napoleon Perdis Merci lipgloss in Kate.

I also took makeup remover, but I forgot to use it (oops) and slept in my makeup (double oops). It was the Face of Australia makeup remover that was in my 2014 favourites, as it is (a) amazing and (b) the only one that I own. However I can't find it to take a photo of it, so here is a picture of it from the last post it was in (I'm sorry).

That is all the beauty things I took to a sleepover recently. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk to again soon.

Bye!

Accessories Haul!

Hi everyone!

I have a haul for you this week! I went shopping with my friends on Tuesday and picked up a few things and thought you would like to see what I bought, so here we go!

First we went to Strandbags and looked around at all the different handbags and purses and I stumbled upon the prettiest coloured purse I had ever seen. It costed $20 and it has loads of card spaces and money places. Also, did I mention that it has mint on it, which is my favourite-est colour ever!

Then we went to Lovisa, who was having a "8 earrings for $10" sale (the earrings are normally $3 each, so it is a real bargain). One of my friends and I decided to split it evenly, so we each bought 4 sets of earrings and chipped in $5. I also bought a rose gold ring for full price of $3 (oh my gosh, so expensive I know). The earrings I bought were pineapples, snowflakes, rose gold peace-in-a-love-heart and some pink love hearts.

We went to more shops than just those, but I didn't buy anything else, so that is the end of my haul. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk to you again next week.

Bye!

2014 Favourites!

Hi everyone,

As I said in last week's post, this post was going to be a 2014 favourites, so here it is!

My first favourite of the year is the Clinique Moisture surge. As I have mentioned in a few other posts, this moisturiser goes above and beyond when it comes to moisturising the skin (like it should). It has definitely helped make my skin what it is today.

I have two favourite perfumes up next. First, we have Katy Perry's Killer Queen perfume. I absolutely love this perfume. I think that it smells lovely and floral. Second is her older perfume called Meow! I love this perfume because it smells light and sweet.

My next favourite is the Yankee Candle in Vanilla Cupcake. I absolutely love the smell of this. Vanilla is my favourite scent of all time, so this candle is perfect for me.

My next favourite is the Boire Moisture Lotion. I have spoken about this a few times before and I still love it. It is great for summer days in the sun as it has an SPF rating of 15.

Next up is the best makeup remover in the world. It is the Face of Australia Purifying Makeup Remover. I have never mentioned this before which really shocked me because this is the only makeup remover I have used in 2014. And I have loved it. It gets rid of all of my makeup super fast and then I wash my face to get rid of any bits I may have missed (which is unlikely).

The next favourite on my list is the Covergirl Nature Luxe waterproof mascara in Very Black. This mascara is really good at making my lashes look long and my only qualm with it is that I don't think this is sold anywhere any more so I am savoring every use of it.

My next favourite is the QV Cream. This saved my skin this year. I broke out in eczema on my left arm (in the crease of my elbow if you were wondering) really badly and I used the QV Cream on it for about a month or two and the eczema went away.

The next favourite of mine is The Body Shop's Tea Tree BB Cream. I use this every time I go out to something. Not to school or the shops (unless I have a pimple), but most places that are slightly more fancy, like Christmas or a birthday party. It is great at covering up any redness I may have and I would say that it has helped in clearing up what little acne I had.

My final favourite of 2014 is the Tangle Teezer. This is the only hair brush I use now and I love it soooo much. It detangles my hair in no time at all and for that I thank it.

They are all my favourites from last year and I hope you enjoy this post. I will talk to you again next week.

Bye!

New Year, New Me?

Hi everyone!

As you might be able to tell by the title, this post is about my New Year's Resolutions.  I think it is good to have them as even though you my break them after a couple of months (or days), being motivated to change something about your life (whether it be big or small) is always a good thing! So with that in mind, here are my resolutions for 2015!

1. Stop leaving things to the last minute. I will do this by starting things (assignments, homework, blog posts, etc.) as soon as I can. Also finishing them would be a good idea too!

2. Get healthier. I will do this by doing my exercises at least four times a week. My exercises are to stretch out my muscles in my left leg as I have cerebral palsy there, it's only mild, so don't worry! I would also like to drink more water and I will do this by taking my water bottle to school and refilling it throughout the day. The last "get healthy" resolution is to go to bed earlier. I am always staying up late on the Internet and I want to stop that; I need to concentrate at school!

3. Get a job. I will do this by finishing my resume and cover letter and actually applying.

Those are all my New Year's Resolutions! I know I will probably give up on them by about March, but I really want to try this year.

Do you have any resolutions for 2015? Tell me in the comments!

Next week's post is my favourites for 2014, so I will speak to you then.

Bye!

Boxing Day Bargains 2014

Hi everyone,

Last Friday was Boxing Day. I went shopping with my mum, aunty and cousin in the Queen Street Mall. In this post, I will show you what I bought and how much I saved. Here we go!

The first thing I bought was from Myer*. I was drawn to it because (a) it looked like makeup and (b) it was so cute. I bought a set of highlighters that look like lipsticks. They come in four colours and they will be very useful in keeping my organised as I am going into senior schooling next year (Year 11). I bought these full price for $14.95 :( still cute though.

The next thing I bought was on sale. It was from a store called Forever New*. Again, they are really cute (half the reason I bought them). They, however,  are actually (kind of) makeup. They are macaron lip balms. Their flavours are lemon and strawberry. Also, the way they are packaged is just so pretty. Who wouldn't be drawn to roses and a blue background with white polka dots?! I bought these (on sale) for $9.95 and the full price was $14.99. That's a saving of $5.04 or about 33%.

As you may know from last week's post, my grandparents on my dad's side bought me a $50 Lush* gift card for Christmas. So my mother and I went into (a very crowded) Lush to use my gift card. I bought a lot of stuff. The Christmas gift packs were all 50% off so we went around like mad men (as much as you can in a crowded shop) smelling things and working out the cost of it all.

This one is called Festive Cheer and contains a Hot Toddy shower gel (right) and a slice of Yog Nog soap (left).  The Hot Toddy shower gel smells like Christmas spices and the Lush* website says it smells of "the spice of a Christmas market". The Yog Nog soap smells like caramel and the Lush* website says it smells like egg nog. This gift box would ordinarily be priced at $16.50, but as it was 50% off, I bought it for $8.25.

This gift box is called Little Snow Fairy. It contains a Snow Fairy shower gel (right) and Pink Fun (left). The Snow Fairy shower gel smells sweet, almost sickly sweet, but I can handle it and the Lush* website says it smells "candy-sweet". This gift box would ordinarily be priced at $13.95, but since it was 50% off, I paid $6.97.

This gift box is called Shine and it contains So White shower gel (top left), gold Fun (bottom) and Reindeer Rock Soap (top right). The So White shower gel smells like green apples and the Lush* website says it smells like "crisp apple". The gold Fun smells sweet and fruity and the Lush* website says it smells "toffee-sweet". The Reindeer Rock Soap smells like citrus and berries and the Lush* website says it smells like berries. This gift box would ordinarily sell for $19.95, but since it was 50% off, I bought it for $9.98.

This gift box is called Happy Christmas. It contains Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, So White Shower Gel, Santa's Lip Scrub, Baked Alaska Soap and Gorgeous Facial mousturiser. Rub Rub Rub shower scrub smells like flowers and the Lush* website says it smells like "refreshing, with a dash of lemon juice and the tropical scent of mimosa blossom".The Baked Alaska Soap smells like citrus and the Lush* website says it smells "zesty". The Santa's Lip Scrub smells exactly as the Lush* website describe it; "cola-flavoured". The Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser doesn't have a particular scent, but the Lush* website have said that "it makes us feels gorgeous".

This last one was called "Blooming Beautiful". It contains a Think Pink Bath Bomb (right) and a Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar (left). The Think Pink bath bomb smells sweet and the Lush* website says it smells like "vanilla-tonka", which is my personal favourite scent. The Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar smells citrus-y and the Lush* website says it smells like "citrus, Mediterranean warmth". This gift box would ordinarily cost me $12.95, but since it was 50% off it only cost me $6.48.

My haul from Lush* would have costed me a total of $108.30, but as there was a 50% off sale, I got everything for a total of $54.15. The total amount I spent on Boxing Day was $79.95 and the amount I would have spent if there were no sales was $138.24. That is a saving of $58.29 or 42%.
That is all that I bought at the Boxing Day sales last Friday. Also, as this is my first post of the new year, Happy New Year! Next week's post will be about the new year, so just you wait and see what that will be!

Bye!

*This post is not sponsored by anyone. Whatever I say about these products is completely my opinion.
