Current Favourites!

Hey peeps!

I'm back! Sorry that I was gone for so long. I kinda have this thing called school that is kinda important round about now. Since I haven't posted in a while, I thought it would be quite nice to catch you up on my favourite products that I have been using since I've been gone (I definitely just got that song stuck in my head).

I've been trying to get into face masks over the past few months, seeing as I keep getting them for Christmas and birthdays and things (at my request, of course) and the two that I have used recently are the Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mask and the Cupcake mask from Lush.

The Pores Be Pure Mask is a mask that I got last Christmas from Mum and Dad. It says it unclogs pores, eliminates impurities and clarifies skin to give "instant complexion perfection". The first thing I noticed (other than that it was pink) was that it smells so nice! It smells like strawberry, which makes sense because that is one of the main ingredients. I looked up some reviews before I tried it and people said that it has a burning feeling when you put it on and I got a bit worried, but then I read the fine print on the back of the bottle and it says that it is supposed to happen for the first minute or so (phew!). It did burn for about a minute or two (which felt like hours) and I did consider taking it off since it was burning for what felt like ages, but I stuck with it and it turned out fine in the end. After washing it off, my skin felt smooth and soft and by the next day my pimples had cleared up a bit.

The Cupcake mask is a mask I got for my birthday from one of my aunties. It says that it is great for teenage skin (which I have) as it helps absorb excess oil and calm breakouts. This face mask also smells insanely good. It smells like a chocolate cupcake and I was *this* close to popping a bit in my mouth just to see if it would taste any good. I didn't, but I was close to it. Anyway, this one didn't burn like the other one did, which was nice. It made my skin feel really smooth and soft after washing it off but it was kinda hard to get off. I had to scrub for ages and it went everywhere (does anyone have recommendations as to how to get face masks off easily? Tell me below). I did, however, really enjoy using this face mask.

They were both quite easy to apply and I will continue to use them until they are gone (I may buy more if I feel like it).

Another thing I have been using on my face is the Body Shop's Aloe Calming Foaming Wash. I got this for my birthday from my grandma and granddad. I have been using this since then (about 3 months) and haven't really gotten many pimples since then. I still get pimples around my forehead and nose, but my cheeks and chin are just about pimple-free. This has worked very well for my skin over the past few months and for that I am very grateful.

For my birthday from one of my aunties, I got the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body wash and scrub. They. Smell. So. Good. I have had the body wash before so I knew I was going to love that. Since getting the scrub, I have fallen in love with that as well. It smells just as good as the body wash. I use it once or twice a week instead of the body wash on my arms and legs and leaves them so smooth it's not funny.

I have also been really loving Snapchat. I don't know if I've told you this before (I probably have but I can't remember), but I have a Snapchat account. My name is knicknack7899 and I would really love it if you followed me (don't feel like you have to, but if you want to, then you can). I really like Snapchat because I can see what my friends (and other people) are doing. I mostly just use it for the different filters, but doesn't everyone? Anyways, I love Snapchat a lot.

I think that's all for now. There's probably loads more, but that's all I could think of today.

What are your current favourites? What do you think of mine?

April Favourites

Hey everyone!

I am back. Well, kind of. I am still at school for a bit longer, so until the holidays I will only do the monthly favourites. I am trying really hard to keep this blog going, but at the moment it’s kind of taking a back seat due to all of my schoolwork. I am sure you understand. On a brighter note, I got a B- for Maths! I am so happy that I didn’t get a C. I still got one for English and Chemistry, but overall I am improving. Yay! Also, at the time this goes up, I'll be getting ready to go to my formal (also known as a prom in other parts of the world). If I have time I will do a quick post about my outfit, hair and makeup but if not it's because of school.

So I have a couple of favourites-es this month and one of them is my Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily scrub, which I use in my night-time shower. It is really gritty and feels like it is doing something, so even if its not doing anything at least it feels like it is! I'm pretty sure it is doing something as I have noticed blackheads on my nose turn into normal pimples, which are a lot easier to sort out. It also keeps the rest of my face (where I don't have blackheads) nice and clean and smooth.

Another favourite of mine is also a face wash and it is also Neutrogena (when Mum and I get new faces washes we try them brand-by-brand) and it is their Oil Free Acne Wash (their pink grapefruit one), which I use in my morning shower. This lathers up quite well for a face wash and my mostly clear skin this month proves that it works. It's scent (which is minimal) is quite fresh and wakes me up in the morning.

I have also used both of these face washes on other places where I get pimples (mainly my arms and back) and they are clearing up quite nicely as well. Go Neutrogena! #notsponsored

I have also been doing a lot of driving this month as I am currently learning to drive. I am still getting the hang of it and have only done (really) 10 hours of driving. I am not too bad as far as starting and stopping goes, but as of yet I am not good at hill starts and have not come anywhere close to learning how to reverse without hitting anything. Overall, for the amount of time I've been driving, I'd say I'm doing pretty well, considering my fatalities/ injuries number is still 0.

Also, I've gotten into Snapchat over the past week so you can follow me if you like! My name on there is knicknack7899

Anyway, that about wraps up my favourites for this month. I do hope you enjoyed this post!

What have your favourites been for April? Do you like my favourites?

Liebster Award #2

Hey everyone!

A couple of weeks ago, Claire from Through Her Blue Eyes tagged me to do a Liebster Award. I have already done one of these a while ago, but there's no harm in doing another one!

Basically, the rules are you have to answer 11 questions that your nominator has written then tag 11 more bloggers to answer questions you write.

My Questions

1. What encouraged you to start blogging?

Back in 2013 before I started my blog, I stumbled upon the blogging community. I thought that blogging looked like fun and decided to give it a go, which was the best decision ever!

2. Where do you get your blogging inspiration?

Well, I generally always do a monthly favourites, but mainly I look at things I've done recently that might turn into a post or I brainstorm ideas until I come up with something that you might like.

3. What makes you smile most?

My friends. They are so funny and I always look back on our adventures fondly. My cat, Stanley, also makes me smile, but he attacks me sometimes, so there's that.

4. What is on your current wishlist?

A new phone, a new camera (for blogging), a good foundation. Other than that, I always like having new clothes.

5. What is the best piece of advice you could give (in relation to blogging)?

Don't expect to have a million pageviews and a million followers overnight. Everything takes time.

6. What beauty product could you not live without?

My Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara is quickly becoming an all time favourite of mine. If I'm rushing off to the shops or something, I always put it on. I feel like it makes me look more awake, which is a bonus.

7. What do you love to drink?

I really like Coke, lemonade and Fanta. I am not legally allowed to drink alcohol yet, so that is the extent of my drinking for now. I also like water, well, I try to like water. I need to drink more of it.

8. What is your guilty pleasure?

I really like to scroll through Instagram in my spare time. I don't think that counts as a guilty pleasure though. Umm, I like reading fanfiction sometimes (not smutty fanfiction, ew), so maybe that.

9. If you could have dinner with anybody, dead or alive, who would it be? And where would you eat?

Good question! I think I would go to dinner with Queen Elizabeth II at her house, duh. Wouldn't that be so cool? She could give me a grand tour of the palace and I could meet her corgis and look at all the amazing rooms in the palace.

10. Where do you want to be in 5 years time?

I want to make money off of my blog (I currently don't as you have to be 18 to get PayPal) and I want to go to university either in a business course or a journalism course.

11. If you won the lottery, what would you do?

If I won the lottery, I would buy a car and a house (not that I need one yet). I would pay off my parents' mortgage and then I would put the rest away into a bank account so I could earn interest on my winnings. I would also give a portion of it to charity, as I feel like anyone with that amount of money would be crazy (and appear really greedy) not to.
