After Work Shopping Haul

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a while but I can explain. I have been sick the past few weeks. If you follow me on Twitter, you'll probably know that this last week has been devoted to work experience instead of school. I did this work experience at a grocery store called Coles.

This brings me quite smoothly onto my topic of today, which is shopping that I may or may not have done after work.

The first thing I bought was a Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry, mainly because I lost my other one. It claims to give eight hours of moisture after one application and that your lips will be brand spanking new after one week of daily use. It promises to reduce fine lines and increase elasticity and suppleness of the lips because of the ingredient Centella Essence. It cost me $4.39.

EDIT: Shortly after posting this I found the original lip balm while tidying my desk. Oops. I guess I'll have one for in my handbag and one for school.

The second thing I bought is one that I am really excited about due to the fact that it is a "cult beauty" product and many beauty bloggers/vloggers rave about this product. It is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. It promises to control shine for up to 5 hours, give a natural matte finish and help minimise the appearance of pores. It cost me $14.58.

The third and final thing I bought on my after work adventure was from Myer. I was told about it by my mum the day before because it was on sale from $12.95 down to $6.50. It was the Sugar Baby Drive Me Balmy Body Butter in Beach. This smells so good. It says that it smells of pink grapefruit, blackcurrant, passion fruit, orange blossom, crystal musk and vanilla. I love it so much and the saving was incredible (it was about 50% off!).

They are all the beauty products I bought in the past week (I also bought cookies and donuts). Anyway, if you liked this post and want to read more of my posts, feel free to look through the archives and follow my blog to get email notifications when I upload a new post.

Bye!

The Queensland Winter

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to explain to you the Queensland winter.

The first thing about the Queensland winter is that is doesn't actually snow. I know this may be mind-blowing for you if you live in England, as it always snows there in winter. It snows in some places in Australia, but where I live, it never has.

The second thing about the Queensland winter is that it doesn't get that cold compared to other places in the world where it snows almost every day in winter. It does not get extremely cold in winter here in Queensland.

The third and final thing about the Queensland winter is that Christmas does not happen in winter. I know that is what is in all the Christmas carols (Winter Wonderland, etc.), but that is not the case in Queensland. My favourite Christmas carol is Frosty the Snowman, and that completely contradicts the fact that we have no snow in Queensland.

Okay, so this post was kind of short, but it had a lot of information in it that will be vital to you in case I do a winter fashion post and you all think I am going to freeze outside with just a jumper and jeans on.

Talk to you next time,

Bye!

VO5 Hot Oil treatment review

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to review a hair product for you.It is the VO5 Hot Oil treatment. I got it in the Nourish Me Truly formula because Mum thought that the ends of my hair were dry after camp.

I would just like to say that this is not a photo I snapped. I took this from a website because my mum threw out all of the packaging before I could snap a photo of it.

Packaging
It's packaging is in 4 separate 15ml tubes (1 for each treatment). I think this is a good idea because then you don't have to guess how much you have (it is 15ml per treatment btw).

Does it work?
I would say that this does work due to the fact that after one use, my hair was already looking better.

Bye!

Lip Product Addict Tag

Hi everyone,

This is the Lip Product Addict tag, created by AmeliaLiana and EssieButton. Let's get started with the questions!

1. Favourite balm/treatment?

I would have to say the Maybelline Baby Lips. I take it to school every day as it is extremely important to use lip balm in winter. It moisturises my lips the best out of all the lip balms I have tried.

2. Best eye-catching red?

I don't really wear red lipsticks, but the one I own is from Maybelline. It is called Royal Red. I really like it. It has a good colour payoff and  lasts a long time.

3. Best luxury and drugstore?

Best drugstore product would have to be the Designer Brands Colour Eternal in Ice Coral. It is such a pretty shade and stays on for a while.

Either that or a TBN one in the shade 378 Kiss Me Quick. I love this shade and it stays on for a very  long time.

I don't have any high end/luxury lip products because I don't have enough money to get some of them, but my first ever one will probably end up being Mac.

4. Best Mac lipstick?

I don't actually own any Mac lipsticks, but the one I want is Pink Pearl Pop. It just looks really pretty and I like it.

5. Most disappointing?

I don't have any disappointing lip products because I don't have many and none of them are any better or worse than each other. I'm not saying they're all bad btw, I'm saying that they are all great!

6. Liner- yes or no?

I don't wear it much, but when I do, my lipstick stays on longer than when I don't wear it.

7. Best gloss?

My favourite lip gloss would have to be the Napoleon Perdis lipgloss from the Merci collection. I reviewed it a little while ago.

8. Something extra?

My first lipstick I ever wore was my "eye-catching red" at a dancing concert. I was 6.

That brings us to the end of the Lip Product Addict tag, see you on Saturday for a new post.

Bye!
