My Birthday List

Hi everyone,

On this fine Monday evening when I am writing this I realised that my birthday is coming up, so I'm going to tell you what I want, what I really really want for my birthday. My birthday is (when I am writing this) in about 4 weeks and I am so excited! So anyway, on with the list!*

To get the Sims things out of the way first, I want all the stuff packs and game packs that are currently out and they are the Luxury Party Stuff Pack, Perfect Patio Stuff Pack, Spa Day Game Pack and Outdoor Retreat Game Pack. They are all the packs out at the moment and the only way to get them is with credit card or PayPal and I have neither of those.

Beauty

The first makeup item on my list is the Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette. I have watched a couple of videos on YouTube about it and sounds like a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, which is not available in Australia and my mum doesn’t like shopping online.

The next item on my list is a nail polish. It is Essie Mint Candy Apple. I really love the colour mint at the moment and I have heard beauty bloggers rave about this nail polish and I want in. However, I definitely don’t need another nail polish.
My last makeup item is from MAC. It is the lipstick in Peach Blossom. I feel like this is a nice colour for a girl my age and I like it. I have looked on the website and in store and I really want it, but it is a bit out of my price range, especially when I can only wear makeup on weekends.

I also want a Soap and Glory scrub, but I don’t know which one; maybe you could recommend me one in the comments!

I saw the Jimmy Choo Exotic perfume in a magazine last week and it sounded like it would be a smell that I would like. I also saw the Katy Perry Killer Queen Spring Reign perfume in the same magazine and thought it sounded like me as well.

Books

I really want Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and have for a little while now (I think it was on my Christmas list). It sounds like a cute story and  I like cute stories, so it fits me well.
I also want three books by YouTubers. They are Life with a Sprinkle of Glitter by Louise Pentland, Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr and All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher.
That is all the things that I want for my birthday, but in no way will I get all of them, so don’t go thinking I'm all snobby and the like.

I will speak to you next time.

Bye!

*I have copied the pictures from the official brand's website as I (obviously) don't own these items. I have also included a link to the source if it was not from the brand's official website. All Sims pictures are from The Sims' Wikia page.

Lorna Jane Warehouse Sale Haul

Hi everyone,

I know it has been a verrrrry long time since I last posted on the blog, but I have been sooo incredibly busy with assignments and revision for exams at school. Luckily I only have 3 exams this term! Anyway, last Saturday I went to a Lorna Jane warehouse sale where they sell old stock that didn’t make it to the stores as my cousin works at Lorna Jane with Marketing, so she helped make all the advertising for it. Also, it was a lot cheaper than buying them in store. I bought three items and they totaled $130 (I miscounted the cost as I thought it was worth $90, but it was still quite cheap compared to in-store prices).

The first item I got was the Celeste sports bra. I really like the sort of lacy detailing around the edges (and the fact that the padding makes me look absolutely stacked – did I just say that on the internet?). It is a really pretty sky blue and I am going to use it for dance and running, that I do on Saturday mornings. It is called parkrun and I might tell you more about it soon. The bra cost me $40 and would have ordinarily been $65.99, so that is a saving of $25.99 or about 40%.

The next item I bought were Hidden Tropicana tights. They go all the way to my ankles and on the inside, the top bit is all tropical (hence Hidden Tropicana). Oh, and are they tight!  I could almost not get them off! They are really nice and I will use them for running in the colder months, as it is getting into winter now. They were the killer for my wallet at $60, but would have ordinarily have cost $99.95. That is a saving of $39.95 or about 40%.

The last item I bought was a Sabotage Excel Tank top. It is so nice and breathable. It has a four-way elastic thing on the back which looks cool and stretches at the same time! I love the colour scheme of it and I will probably use this for running in the colder months, as it is nice to feel colder when you are running. I bought these for $30, but they would have normally been $65.99. That is a saving of $35.99 or about 55%.

The cost of the items I bought if they weren't marked down would have been $231.93. Overall I made a saving of $101.93 or about 44%. This makes me really happy and really excited for the nest warehouse sale as they still have way too much stock, apparently. It also makes me feel like applying for a job so that I can keep affording them, even thought they are marked down considerably. I want to be able to just about drown in Lorna Jane stuff, basically. Haha, not really. That would cost a lot.

Anyway, I should get going now, you may see more frequent posts on here as I have so many days off from exams its not funny. I have about 5 days, which is a really good opportunity to get writing for the blog because I feel like I have neglected it a lot, but my main priority is school at the moment.
Bye!

PS: Leave in the comments anything you’d like to see (other than more posts)

March Favourites

Hi all,

It has been a little while, but I have been busy with study and exams. Sorry about that.

Anyway, it is March favourites time!

First up is the Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action face wash. It is a great cleanser and it has little scrubby bits in it to get rid of those pesky spots. I try to remember to follow it up with my Clinique toner and the Simple Spotless Skin Anti-Blemish moisturiser. It works really well and keeps my skin relatively clear. It has been hot and sweaty for the past few months as it has been summer, so I'll see how it goes in the winter months.

Next up is The Sims 4. I know it's not a beauty thing, but I have really been loving it and the new expansion pack came out in Australia on 2 April and I love it. In it you can go to work with your sims (you can be a detective, a doctor and a scientist) or you can start your own business. Also, there are aliens; you can travel to their world and have babies with them Overall, I really love it and I can't wait to see any other expansion packs the Sims team come up with.

That is all I have liked in the month of March as I don't try new things often and if I said the same things every month you would get bored (although me not posting on ages probably made you bored too).

Anyway, I'll talk to you next week (I promise).

Bye!
